Chris de Ploeg

Chris de Ploeg is a community organizer, journalist, multi-instrumentalist and occasional spoken word artist. He has organized events with dozens of anti-imperialist organizations, ranging from Friends of the Congo to Chile Desperto Holanda and Free West Papua Campaign. Chris is co-founder of Aralez, a pan-decolonial grassroots network for decolonization. He has written on Palestine, international vaccine apartheid and imperialism in Ukraine, among other struggles. Although Chris is first and foremost a writer and organizer, he occasionally uses art as an outlet and ignition chain for his own struggles and those of the movements he considers himself a part of.
